Hello All
well, g'day. Did that sound OK? Sorry I'm not from Aus - I'm from SAfrica (You know the place where the rugby worldf cup is and where the 2011 Tri-Nations cup will be). And in South Africa we dont have anything like this. So, I'm afraid you're going to have to put up with me. My interest in wood is mainly in guitars and banjos and the like and I spotted that there is quite an active music contingent here. I have only just started tooling up and hope to make guitar building a hobby for when I retire. Not to make a living mind you. As a start I habe ordered an acoutic guitar kit and a ukelele kit, both from Stewmac as I thought that would be about the most logical way to introduce myself to the activity. I think that I will put together a few more kits before I ztart doing the whole thing from scratch.
So, there you have it. I'm a beginner at woodworking and at guitar building. We'll see.
Cheers - Ed

Well I havent - I went to play golf yesterday. But the result was expected to be quite honest. I think SA was lucky to get the points. And I dont believe it is due to our "coach/manager" (the stuff he really doesnt do well at all) fielding 2nd / 3rd stringers. I think that bot Aus and NZ probably have a bout 3 teams they could field to beat us.
