    Default G'day

G'day, i'm Simon. I have stumbled upon the forums whilst doing some research on chainsaw milling. I am looking to build a bit of outdoor furniture for myself and would love to cut and mill my own materials.

Looks like a great site, keep up the good work.

    Cheers,
    Simon

Welcome Simon, gathering and milling timber can be very rewarding, particularly when you have the right gear and training in using it, in particular chainsaws.....your profile does not indicate your experience so if you are new to a chainsaw seek out experienced training and advice to ensure your safety and enjoyable woodworking journey, there is plenty in the forum that can assist.....cheers Kerry

    Thanks christos.
kcam, i have spent a bit of time around chainsaws, mainly cutting to burn or else clear a road through somewhere. I've not had alot to do with cutting with the grain however, hopefully with a bit of practice and some helpful advice i can get results i am happy with.
