Hi from lil ole NZ
Hi everyone,
Cruising thru web looking for ideas on how to make a Router Table Bench (still searching) when I came accross this site, read a few posts and you come accross as very freindly, so thought I would join.
Left school and did served my time as a Turner / Machinist in a Steel Mill in N. Wales, UK.
Always had a hankering to Play with wood, and everytime I find a need to unwind I find myself in the garage making something or other, by no means an expert as I have already seen some of the pics on this site, the Japenese Knife Block for one example.
I am not into big builds more your med to small, in my youth I used to dabble in Marquetry.
Just comming to the end of building a firewood box, did not need to go to the extent it did go, but the old man always used to drum into me as a kid, "if a job is worth doing it's worth doing to the best of your ability"
Anyway that's a bit about who I am, must go and search for photo's of a Router Table to copy, got the Router, Table Top, just need to figure out how to make the Fence and or anything else required.
Cheers for now
Dave.

Welcome to the forum. Are you going to do a work in progress for the router table build?

never actually thought of a work in progress, but I guess no reason why not, tho it will more than likely be built out of metal rather than wood as per the link from Kerry, for definate the top is going to be 8mm Aluminium. Not keen on having to make a different fence for each type of cutter as link portrays so trying to come up with a fully adjustable one/type.

Still good to see a work in progress. I am mainly into the wood side of the forum and every now and then I look at the metal side.
Always good to watch construction. Just a way of seeing how things are created by people. May not be the way that everyone works as everyone is different.
