Default Help please - is this graphic a problem?

I got variations of this graphic (depending on the browser I used etc)

Is it anything to be concerned about

No, it just shows your IP address when you look at it and mine when I look at it. People put these images up to worry people but there is nothing to worry about.

If you bank online you're asking for trouble.

Worms or trojans that log your key strokes and other information then send it to someone somewhere in the world. Doesn't matter if you have anti whatever software on your system. If the worm, trojan or virus hasn't been detected and added to the scan list by the software developer you will never know it's on your system. I can find the information needed to disable virus and firewall software in minutes by going to cracks.am.

If there's information I don't want someone else to know the last place I store it is on my computer. I don't mind sending credit card numbers over the internet cause I'm only responsable for the first $50; but tax information, personal finance, banking... never.

Doing your taxes online is big in Canada. Now if I were a hacker I'd develop a program that infects computers and finds the data files associated with the most popular tax software and have them sent to me so I could then steal that persons identity... Ands just to make it hard to find my little get rich quick project, it would delete itself if no files were found or after it had placed a little packet in your outgoing mail folder making it very difficult to detect and counter. Or have a program that sits dormant until someone launches a tax software and then record there key strokes so now I have the persons full name, address, Social Insurance number... Now I can go out and get 15 credit cards in that persons name and have a damn good time in Venezuela, which by the way has no extradition treaty with Canada and I doubt Australia.

If I were so inclined I might develop a popular website that has an active X mouse trap that installs a program that sits on a system scanning the users internet activity waiting till that person visits anyone of a thousand online banking websites and then records there every keystroke and has it sent to me when they next send out email. And cause I'm smarter than the average zit faced script kiddie trying to make a name for themselves I wouldn't get caught.

Know if I can think of this in the time it took me to write this response you can be sure that thousands of hackers have thought of this and much more.

The internet has become the best place to commit serious crimes with little chance of ever been caught or prosecuted; and it's growing exponentially everyday.

I don't know what your fees are but here I pay $1.50 for in person transactions; so about $6 a month. A hell of a lot less than if someone were to steal my banking info. I once asked my bank if my card was some how accessed and money stolen from by account is the bank insured? No was there response and I would be SOL on getting reimbursement. At that very moment online banking ceased to be an option. I'll do telephone banking because it's far too inefficient for criminals to try and exploit, but the internet - way to easy.

Now Mathew, I really am going to have to take you to task over this strange habit you have of putting the question after the answer. Is this some strange quiz show related behaviour, or is it some Canadian custom? It really is a bit confusing for us down-under types, or this one at least.
