    Default Ebay announcement

    June 2011

Guess the ATO and Centrelink will be looking closely at a few Ebay sellers over the next few months.

They are just copying the UK Inland Revenue, who are in the process of going thru' EBay hunting sellers who are 'regulars', no minimum value.

Pretty simple. If you sell on eBay and it looks like a business then declare your income. Household stuff isn't a problem but if you are running a business then it's the same as if you have a shop on the street - declare it.

I have an eBay business that runs under $20K PA and I declare every cent. Pretty stupid if you don't and you get caught.
