    Default polish on hard shelac

    Hi
I have been puting hard shelac on a marri table that i have made, but i am getting slightly inconsistent shine on the finish , i was hoping somebody might be able to adivse me on what im doing wrong or maybe there is a polish or wax that i could use
to improve the finish, the polish would have to be able to stand up to every day use as this will be our kitchen table. Any advise much appreciated .

    thanks
    dave

inconsistent shine on the finish, hmm, by any chance could there be a bit of unevenness in the finish sanding? I know when I stuff up the sanding, not realise it and then apply the shellac, I get a few patchy bits. It can also be that the shellac is building up on some areas and not others. which areas are shiny and which aren't eg are the black parts only shiny? Or, does the shellac need a gentle stirring before being applied?

    cheers
    Wendy
