How do you replace stop light globe in Holden Barina
One of the stop lamp globes has blown and I want to replace it but don't know how. I know that sounds stupid, You just unscrew the two screws in the rear lens and pull the assemble out and replace the globe,, Nope, it doesn't work that way, I have tried to remove the light assembly that way and there is no way it will detach from the body of the car.
When this happened last time I rang Holden dealer from where I bought the car and was told a special tool has to be used or you will damage the paintwork on the car trying to remove the light assembly. I took the car to the service dept and had it replaced but this seems to be going over the top to have a light globe replaced.
I was wondering if the globe is accessible from inside the boot of the car through the rear paneling and if so, is there any little trick I should know in removing it to access the globe assemble.
I don't know why a car manufacturer is making it this difficult to replace a light globe.
Anyone know how it is done.?
The car is a 3 door hatch and is a 2009 model. Holden Barina.Reality is no background music.
Cheers John
