    Default Wooden Wool Table

I've recently purchased a wooden wool table with slats from a clearing sale, 3m x1.5m.

It appears to have still being used as a table as it is covered in a thick layer of lanolin and has turned black in some places.

I'm wondering the restoration steps as the idea is to turn this into a dining table with a glass top.

How do I best to initally clean table?
    Some suggestions have included:
    1. Warm soapy water and brush
    or
    2. Stericide (which is used to clean woolshed floors)

Then, what to seal it with?
Oil (if, so what type?) or Wax (again, what type?)?

    Thanks in advance.

Its alreay sealed believe me all that beaut lanolin I'd give the whole thing a scrape to get the thick stuff off (keep the waste boil/heat it up when finished to use the lanolin again)) a sand down and re-seal with Yep lanolin maybe some Danish Oil as well mixed in a good buff.
