    Talking Down in the Outback

I heard this to be true, but I can't swear to it.

Neil and were between here and there in the outback on a scorcher of a summer day. They were driving an old '74 Datsun P/U for some reason unknown.

Suddenly the pickup began to sputter and came to an abrupt stop.

"Dang were stranded now!" Neil exclaimed.

"No problem!" replied matter-of-factly, "It's just a gummed up carbarator. Just put a little petrol in that hub cap while I take 'er apart."

As quickly as you could rough out a green bowl, had it apart and cleaned! His only tool was a pocket knife. Then it was back together before you could put down your gouge.

Before they could dump out the hub cap, a thirsty dingo spotted the only liquid for miles. He ran over and commenced to have a brew. After about a minute, that dog realized that it wasn't water he was drinking!

Off like a flash, he was! It was so dry and sp**** that you could see him running for nearly a mile, flat out, he was at full throttle, just a hauling as#!

Suddenly, he fell over and didn't move a muscle!

Neil and just looked at each other with jaws hanging wide open.

"Think he's dead?" Neil asked as he gained his compossure.

"Na!" was 's reply, "E's just run out of gas!"

That's the way I heardit; it must be true.

Nearly, except it would have to be a Mazda van.

We also wouldn't be standing with our mouths open. Nothing surprises us any more and besides the flies ud get in.

DANG!!! That made me laugh out loud.

Until the above line that word has NEVER been uttered by me. I am much more colourful than that.

But dang nabit, I think I'm a gunna change mah speachifyin' habbits.

Strewth . It's a Nissan Urvan, get it right will ya. People are gunna think it was all a lie and didn't really happen.

As for jaws hanging wide open, all I can say is. "Weel shurt mah mowf, done sed it oil."

Here is the true ending to the story:

Neil and looked at each other through tears of laughter.

"Think the little bugger's dead?" Neil asked as he regained his compossure.

"Na!" chuckled , "E's just run outa petrol!"

It's all true. We wouldn't lie to you.

    Cheers - Neil

    Good one Marshall.
