Hello there
Have posted a couple of times here already so thought that I might have to introduce my self
My name is Peter Sneddon and currently reside in Melbourne.
I am qualified Shipwright. I did my apprenticeship with the RAN at HMAS Nirimba at it time probably the largest apprenticeship school around. We had some really great instructors. Many with long and distinguished carreers in the boat building industry.
I eventually completed 24 yearin the RAN
Current project is the restoration of a mid 60's clinker speed boat
So hi guys
And more strength to the forum
Cheers

G'Day Peter and welcome "chippy" [MTH] to a top forum.
So when were you at Nirimba?
I was in the changeover from Mobi to Muppet era as MTP.
Our mob had a 32 year reunion on ANZAC weekend 2004.
Anyways, I'm semi-medical retired & enjoy toy making plus aids for living.
This is a top forum, enjoy.
Cheers, Crowie

Hello
I joined Nirimba in July 1967 after starting as a junior recruit. Passed out in December 1970, then posted to Sydney, then Perth, then FMP Williamstown, then Stuart, Lonsdale, Melbourne,Stuart, Swan then 4's course then Cerberus and finally CPSO Melbourne. A few side postings of short duration along the way but they were are too numerous to mention.
Wish I was semi retired but still have family to support so not much chance in the near future
Cheers
Peter
