G'day! Not your usual new member.
Hi! I have visited your before when trying to find information and found it very helpful, but I'm not a woodworker. I've joined today in order to hopefully find a home for the tree stumps you can see in these photo's.
The rest of the trees have been destroyed yesterday, and I am ashamed to say I only saved a couple of logs for a friend, I didn't think of you guys until late last night. If there is anyone who can take what is left by monday please contact me on 0411715527 and I'll have the excavator leave it for you.

Sorry these are gone, the schedule was moved ahead and the owner wasn't going to let them leave any evidence.
I'm still glad I joined here, there is so much to learn, and I would like to be able to work with wood more often. I've just started out spinning yarn on a spindle, and that seams to lead many back to wood turning!

Welcome to forum, we come to woodwork by many paths. Simple spindles are a good start.

Thanks for the welcome!
So far I have only whittled a small support spindle out of a dowel, but I'm sure I'll progress.
I wish I could claim credit for the seams/seems pun, but unfortunately it is only that my spell checker has not yet learned to correct inaccurate homonyms! Feel free to point them out, they have lead to many an interesting sentence over the years.
