hello all
Hello All, I answer to flicker.I'll be 70 next birthday and still married to my first sweetheart.
We retired to upper stone south west of Ingham Nth Qld and boy is it wet.
We live near messmate creek and messmate road and have heaps of trees on our block,
yup mostly messmate.Many on the ground after cyclone Yasi.
I half build a "poor mans" rose engine years ago and hope to finish it soon.
I'm not too interested in conventional turning as I think it would take more hand/eye coordination than I could muster.
A very comprehensive site you have here.
regards flicker.

G'Day & Welcome to the forum "flicker".
Congratulations all round on your upcoming 70th and still having your sweetheart.
You're a lucky man and she must be a good woman.
Of course it's wet, it's wet season in the FNQ and you are living in the wetest area.
Can't help from this end with turning except to say "keep it up";
I've got an old mate who just turned 86 and can still turn, even with a little bit if the shakes.
Enjoy your woodwork,
Look after your sweetheart,
Keep dry.
Cheers, Crowie
