How do you sharpen a pencil?
This is 1 way of doing it if you have plenty of expensive CNC equipment.

Interesting... Was demonstrating wood turning at a life style exhibition in Cairns, when the lady in the next stall asked if I could sharpen a pencil for her. Was using a scroll chuck at the time so did the same except it was with a skew chisel. She even offered to pay, but being the gentleman I am , I refused payment.

I wonder if I can pick up a pencil sharpener like that from the office stores cupboard? I'm pretty certain that it would be one of those office supplies that end up taken home by accident....

Oh, no, I've just bought one of these from Lee Valley, but if I'd known there was an upgrade available, I would have considered spending the extra money.

do it write.
Most interesting but what are they sharpening the pencils for?
Surely not woodwork of any accuracy.
Probably a HB also.
What you need is a 2H with a chisel point, this will track in your knife scribed lines and even scribe it's own in softer stuff.
Need a chisel or knife to sharpen and some worn out 240 or a conc floor to keep that way.

I reckon running it up against the side of the 8" grinder wheel works OK
