    As well as The Young Ones, he also wrote Blackadder and has had a hand in many , many really good bits of TV .

    I can't believe he put his name to that crap the other night.

    Didn't Ben Elton write the Young Ones? Either way, his only decent work was when he co-wrote with Richard Curtis. Yet strangely, Curtis writes well on his own - I suspect that that does indicate something. As for Elton's books.....
