Hi everyone, I purchased 2.5 metre lengths of aluminium to make up some fly screens to replace old & tattered screens. I made the frames using the appropriate corner inserts etc. I used aluminium flyscreen & 5mm spline, I found it reasonably difficult to put the spline in the channel which appears to be approx 5mm wide. The problem I have is that when I installed the frame it appears that the frame has bowed inwards which I'm thinking may have been due to the pressure of trying to force the 5mm spline into the channel. The reason I used 5mm spline is because that is what Bunnings recommended rightly or wrongly. Should I be using 4mm spline? or is there something else that I have done incorrectly.

Cheers
Ibrox
