Number of posts by a member
I have just realised that the number of posts against my name has been the same since at least the 16/12/10. I didn't go back further as it's no big deal for me. I have made posts to at least 7 different threads on different days since then and the number has remained the same at 416. If this is normal then, no problem. If there is a bug in the system that the administrators don't intend to be there then I am letting them know and they can fix it. If someone else has raised this matter earlier then I apologise.

Murphys law prevails. When I submitted this thread the number incresed to 417.Last edited by whitewood; 25th January 2011 at 04:48 PM. Reason: Number of pots increased

Hi Whitewood, you've probably already worked this out, but just in case.
The number of posts displayed is the number you have now, it displays on every post of yours you look at. It doesn't display the number of posts you had made at the time of the post you are looking at.
Same applies to your age, as well as your signature. If you change your signature today, it will affect all your posts, not just the ones from today onward.

...one more thing...
1. Posts in certain areas of the forums are not counted, drivel threads for example (this does not apply to you though, as a check of your posts shows no record of posting in those forums).
...one more one more thing...
2. Once you open a window the post count does not automatically update, the window needs to be refreshed. If, like me, you can have 20-30 windows open and post in one. later on when you read a previously opened window the counter is as it was when the window was originally opened.

Thanks for the feed back. I have a lot too learn about the forum. I use it a means to learn, to share my very limited wood work experience and to help other get to know and understand Paulownia.
Thanks
Whitewood
