    Default Onya Aussies, Onya Queenslanders....

    Hi
I spoke to Richard Vaughan (Woodworker, Aust Wood Review writer, and former wood show demonstrator) yesterday for the first time since the Brisbane River decided to take a detour through his workshop. He was almost in tears not from greif but from gratitude.

The way fellow woodworkers, his students and just people off the street, dropped everything and jumped into help was inspirational. As the saying goes 'a picture is worth a thousand words' here's a group of pics of the tribe of volunteers that helped Richard out of that devastating situation.

Yes! it's getting better, but it will take years for life to get back to normality if ever, but thanks to the Aussie spirit Richard and those like him are on the road to recovery.

And onya Grahame for your very generous help to Richard.

Same here, I tear up when I'm telling people how much help we had. We were no where near as badly impacted as Richard was, but we still had dozens of friends, family and random strangers helping.
    Cheers, Richard
