Frieze blocks or Bird blocks in a hip roof
A bloke from the US just asked me about a formula for the plumb and side cuts of the end 'frieze blocks' that go from the end jack to the hip on a hip roof.
I've added the calculation to the roof calculators on blocklayer.com, but I don't want to make the old mistake of labeling the results with the wrong terminology.
For the Imperial version, I was going to use:
'Frieze Block Plumb Angle'
and
'Frieze Block Side Angle'
For Metric (mainly Australia / NZ), what do we call them?
:
PS:
The title should be Frieze blocks or Bird blocks in a hip roof (FFixed)
