Permit needed?
We are looking at enclosing two verandahs - one is a small deck off our bedroom to make a larger walk in robe. The other to take up a bit of a return on the end of the back deck to enlarge the kitchen. Both are under the existing roof line - no structural changes are needed just infill walls and flooring - obviously the sparky will be needed in the kitchen.
Do I need a building permit and or building surveyor/inspector? ( I know I can ask the council - but I am cynical - reckon they would say yes just to get their fee )
