Revamping the safety glasses
Are you like me - have 2-3 pairs of safety glasses in the shed each getting more and more scratched and fuzzier to see through by the day?
I bought some multishine buffing compound and a new buffing wheel to clean up the scratches on a plastic chainsaw cowling and it did such a good job I though I would try a pair of plastic safety glasses and I was surprised how well it cleans up fine scratches.
This picture shows the LHS has been polished and the RHS has not. It practice looks much better than this photo shows - its really difficult to capture what the eye sees thru the lens of a camera.

I found you get a better finish if you polish the surface at several different angles. First one way, then 90º to that, then 45º to that and then 90º to that and repeat multiple times. It won't get out big scratches but whatever you start with will be markedly improved
