    Default Sheoak Plane

Ive just made a rebate plane as a Christmas prezzie for a freind. WA inland sheoak body with a slip of Jam wood for the wedge. The iron is cut from an old plane iron I got in a brika brak shop years ago, it has furnished 3 planes with irons so far.

That is one nice looking piece of wood you have there. Maybe it's deliberate on your part but the mouth looks a bit wide compared to what I'd expect?

Just the way it turned out. Doesnt seem to affect its performance.
If it ever does Ill inlay a block of jam to close it up.
