Amusing. The other night I asked the wife's parents over for a home cooked, sumptuous 3 course meal of cream of pumpkin soup, roast lamb and lemon merengue pie. Completely unrelated, my Father (who is in his early 80's) asked me out fishing for half a day. Because I went fishing, I was labelled 'inconsiderate' and am now in the dog house. This was because I didn't 'communicate' that I was going fishing. The kicker? I didn't communicate to her that I had invited her parents over for dinner either. But hey, that's okay!

The dog house is a familiar safe haven, ha! those blokes are stupid enough to think getting out will be a good thing.

Yep. Probably the most critical piece of information for men entering a relationship. No court will jail you for refusing to talk to a woman, and they hate being ignored.
If your (female) partner isn't talking to you, this is a GOOD thing
