Had the camera to hand, so I snapped the method I use to keep the dusty hose out of the way when in thicknessing mode on my JPT-310.

The black adapter at the end of the hose is a Carbatec push on rubber thingy, which holds the pipe in place better than just pushing it onto the dust hood.

Pipe is held out of the way by a loop of stretchy garden tie material (which stays on the hose) and can just be hooked over the jointer tables when required.

Cost of this precision hose alignment accessory is approx. $0.05.......
