G'day from Minnesota!
I've been living up here in Minnesota for almost a year now, by way of Albuquerque, NM (26 years in New Mexico.) We've survived our first winter and are gearing up for another. The biggest woodworking adjustments have been the humidity (Rust! We never saw rust in Albuquerque!) and mobilizing the shop for warm weather woodworking and winter woodworking. Since I park the truck inside during the winter, I have to collapse down to a one garage stall shop when the mercury drops.
My job and family keep me pretty busy, so over the past few years I've been an on-again/off-again woodworker. I'm really hoping to change that here in the near future.
I also recently started my first blog, on...can you guess? Woodworking! It's really focused on my learnings and my re-energizing about the craft.

I've been getting into building boxes, so it's great that you guys have a forum dedicated to that. I anticipate that I'll be visiting there often!
Looking forward to getting to know folks!
Pete

G'day Pete and welcome to the warm sunny southern hemisphere!!!
Nice looking boxes and a good set of machinery you have there!
I watched "The Hustler" a few weeks back. When I saw Mn Pete I was insantly reminded of Mn Fats.

Thanks guys! The boxes are from Doug Stowe's book. I'll probably forego the corner splines on these since the Zebrawood has plenty of interest.
Larry, I'm over in Maplewood/Woodbury. You going to the woodworking show in December? I went to my first one last year. We never got the show down in NM.
The blog is my first, and I took off like a mad man with a post every few days...then I got some great advice about pacing myself or I could go the way of many bloggers...fizzling out. I'm shooting for about a post per week, probably coming off each weekend. Any feedback would be great. I've actually got a fireplace mantle project on the docket that I was considering doing some video for.
Pete
