Flamin' tourists (again)
I was busy cooking some choc chip biccies, sipping on a moderately tolerable and decidedly alcoholic red wine (where's a tiddly smiley when you need one), with the Channel nine news on in the background  . It appears a humungous tourist ship has visited Kangaroo Island - partly so all the tourists, German as it happens on this trip, could see the Kangaroo Island Koalas. Now, those of you who aren't local to this wonderful state (South Australia), may not be aware that Koalas were introduced to Kangaroo Island last century, and have proven so successful that they are now heavily overpopulated and have killed so many of the Manna Gums on which they feed that most of them are now starving to death. It appears we aren't allowed to cull them - that's cruel, whereas starving to death is humane and natural.
Anyway, back to the German tourists. Now, to avoid the wrath of all the Germanic readers of this forum, I should point out that some wally of a reporter stuffed a microphone in this poor bloke's face and asked him what he thought of the Koala problem.
But the clown's answer?
You Australians don't have enough trees!
Dammit you twit - we don't have enough trees because of all the bloody Koalas.
Richard
