Red Cedar finish for bathroom vanity
I have a piece of red cedar which I'd like to use for the top of a bathroom vanity, it still has the bark on it, what can I use to finish? I've done some research and have been advised 1st coast should be 1 part spirits, 2 parts oil based polyurethane, followed by 2 coats of undiluted polyurethane, a friend of mine has warned that this could be totally wrong for red cedar. I am a woodwork novice so any advice is appreciated
