Stripping Red Cedar?
About 15-20 years ago there was a product, in liquid form, which could be used to strip Australain Red Cedar without leaching colour or turning timber black. A restorer used it with excellent results to do the Old Bank at Uki in far northern NSW which was mainly finished- architraves skirting boards windows and doors- with local Red Cedar. Does anyone know of it, if it is still avalable or what may be a current option for stripping my 4 panel interior doors of unwanted layers of paint (probably lead based).
Cheers Steve
