Faded look for table top
G'day all...First post.Gotta start sometime..
I've got a client who has got a few big slabs of cyprus that she wants made it a few table tops.
The question is that she wants a faded look to the timber and not that rich honey colour that cyprus goes to over time. Other than leaving the slabs to weather for a while is there any way of washing the colour from the timber?
Oxalic acid tends to have the opposite effect so I've ruled that out.
Thanks for the replies in advance.

There is a few method you can try.
1. Do with stain. Try to apply a white stain on your wood. Spray it lightly until you get the effect.
2. You can use a bleach chemical. It is a chemical work for lighten your wood color.
It is mostly is hydrogen peroxide solution..
EDIT: Link removed by moderator.
Try first on a piece of wood until you get the best result, before do on your product.
Good luck
