packing out windows flush with gyprock
Hi
I have packed out my internal walls with furring channel and gyprock, so consequently my sash windows need to be packed out flush with the gyprock for my architrave.
My question is what timber should i use? Depth varies from 50mm to 75mm, my plan is to scribe the timber then rip it down and screw it into position on the window.
I was just going to use 90x45 dressed pine on its side, sand it and paint it, but am thinking i will not get a good finish.
Any thoughts or suggestions welcome. Thanks
