Thread: Who can you trust

I think it is best to name them and let them explain the whys and wherefores of their actions then shame them if they are ripping people off. It is the best way to go with scum that do this. It is the same with the low lifes that ring people and offer stupidly low offers for sale items when the sellers have clearly stated what the selling price is especially when these low offers are made to the wives or partners of people that have died and they are selling off the tools and materials of those dearly departed. SCUM.
Derren Hinch has got the right idea. Shame Shame Shame on the shame files.

Crikey Col, calm down. What's your next move after shaming - re-introduction of the stocks, then the rack followed by assassination or a public hanging?
Are you a disgruntled Saints supporter? he he heregards,

On a positive note:
I haven't sold much through the forums but I have given some items away.
It's never been things of great value but stuff that I no longer need but think might be of interest to someone here.
In all cases, the recipients have asked if they can provide something in return. No one has ever picked the good up without making an offer of goods/services/assistance in return.Geoff

Ditto - I've bought, sold, and given away items to numerous forumites, and never had any issues....
BUT......there do seem to be an increasing number of new posters who pop up with the sole purpose of flogging something here, and are then never heard from again. Call me a suspicious old bastard, but I'd be wary of dealing with any forumite who only has a relatively small number of posts up....

Mr Brush makes a good point. There have been quite a few posters whose only posts have been in Market Place. Perhaps the forum rules could be modified to allow posts in Market Place only after a certain amount of posts in other areas.
A sort of a get to know us so you can see how nice we are and wont want to rip us off probationary period. Those were the droids I was looking for.
