G'day Everyone, I'm hoping someone may have an idea on this challenge.

I wish to mount a tilted array of 24 solar panels to a styrofoam panel coolroom style roof that has trim deck sheeting attached over it. I was thinking of mounting lengths of Unistrut (or similar) across it fixing it through the roof at the end to the top plates using threaded rod, but having to also fix it every say 1.5m along the 6.5m length. That would mean pentrating the roof with threaded rod and large washers/nuts and using pvc conduit and sikaflex to isolate the differing metals whilst holding down the strut.

Fixing legs for the solar panel rails could then be fixed to the Unistrut. The main problem I see is drilling all these holes (probably about 50) penetrating the roof. does anyone know a better method, or if there is a Trimdeck profilr surface clamp that could grip the Unistrut, without penetrating the roof with all these holes.

Many thanks,
John
