52 Square Metre Extension Brisbane
Hi All
Thought I would ask some advice on my extension project. We have preliminary plans drawn for a 52 sq/m extension to our Brisbane chamferboard house.
We are extending the living area out the back 38 sq/m and a new bedroom out the front 14sq/m. We are trying to find a really keen price and have already sourced all the windows, doors, hardwoord flooring, lighting fixtures, cornicing, door knobs and locks. We will be doing the painting, floor finishing etc.
The block is level with good access to the front and back and the extension will sit on bearers, joists.
Does anybody think it is possible to achieve a price for the remaining work under $750 per sq/m or am I dreaming. I have had one builder suggest this will be possible but he is not available until late next year and we can't wait that long. He suggested as there is no plumbing, internal walls or painting etc we could achieve about $700 sq/m. So far I am getting prices for about $60000, which I think is high since we are providing so much material already ($8000 so far).
Appreciate any thoughts you can share for a newbie
