Safety Warning - Jet Bandsaw
The bandsaw didn't turn on when I first pressed the switch this morning, it did after I fiddled with it. Been here before with a table saw, I pull it out and the thing was full of saw dust so it got a good cleaning with air and works now. Why don't these manufacturers knowing the danger enclose the switches in a sealed cavity? The TS decided it would switch on if you dropped something on the table so I keep an eye on switches these days. You only need dust on the wrong side of the contact keeping it close to the "on" pole of the switch and the machine can start on its own.

The Switches.
Hi Mini, & Others,
Yes I've had the same problem, but I fixed mine.
I wrapped them in 2 thicknesses of Cling Wrap, & then screwed them down.
Have never had a problem since. The old KISS way, Keep It Simple Stupid.
