first time for an old fella
hello,I'm Bob.
I have been enjoying this site for quite a while and have enjoyed and learned a lot.
My interests are in furniture making and more recently in box making. The learning curve is steep and rewarding, particularly in box making using mainly hand tools.
It is a bit intimidating seeing the quality of work shown on this site.

G'day Bob and welcome to the shed!!
What timber do you use for your boxes?? There are some pretty spectacular timbers that are well suited to this.

I have only been using wharever timber is in the shed.
My main concern is the wood movement what to expect?
I don't particularly want to make only floating panels on all
Is veneered substrate of ply or mdf considered up to scratch
the look of the box depends on creative designs of the top
