    Default Gidday from Townsville

    Mike Busby - old fart. Just bought my first router and having fun creating a lot of saw dust and a few semi decent looking projects.

    First time dabbler in wood. Normaly i am a arc / inverter welder whoes skill level is "if you can't tie knots tie lots" or if you can't weld pretty just snot another couple of sticks on it until it holds together and an angle grinder is a welders best friend.

    Looking at making an Honours Board and a few other like projects for my local Girl Guide District.

    Router is just a cheapy Ozito 1/4" and a starter pack of 12 bits same with circular saw but my jig saw is a Boshe.
    I make sawdust with powertools.

    Hi Mike and welcome. sounds like you are enthusiastic and having a go. We all had to start somewhere and Ozito is a good entry point. Some will disagree with that remark.
    Reality is no background music.
    Cheers John

    Thumbs up

    G'day Mike and welcome to the nut hutch!!!

    Woodworking lesson #1:

    *Routers make router dust

    *saws make sawdust

    * Lathes make shavings

    Blunt tools make work very difficult.

    You will be tested on this next week!!!!
