Is maidens blush a rainforest species? This tree was growing along the road(amongst gums/bloodwoods),in the poorest of soils, just outside Woodford on the Sunshine Coast.

Maiden's Blush
This timber is a rainforest timber for sure the piece I have came from forests North of Coffs Harbour. I would think the name is a local one as I have been using timber from that part of the country over 50 years and I had never heard of it until the piece I have was given to me.

I have senn lots of timber samples similar to that over the years. Could be almost any of a half dozen or so species.

Impossible to know from those finished pieces but the rough cut bit looks a lot like Spotted, some of which can be very pale and with much of it showing strong fiddle-back.
