Question and Answer with Julia Gillard last night??

I have not watched much to do with this election but this show is different.

I was impressed with the performance of the PM.

I just wonder though how much different it would have bee if some questioners witha bit of the mongrel in them were let loose!

I thought it was her best performance so far in the bs stakes,didn't get flustered ,took her time explaining things,looking forward to mr rabbits performance next week see how he goes,dont think it will be the same result .

Apparently, away from the cameras, she can handle herself quite well.

All politics aside,..Watching how she handled that thug Latham interveiw (ambush) her the other day was pure gold.
What little was left of Lathams reputation was permanently torn to shreds by the diminutive (smiling) ranga in about 20 seconds

Tony Jones is even more of a commie than Kerry O'Brien. I would not be at all surprised if they leaked her questions ahead of time. I have no doubt she can talk her way around anything, but with those two she is "among friends".

ABC is a union stronghold and will always be labour friendly. I have no doubt she is a smart woman but for me liberal policies are better for business. A theory I have had my whole working life wether an emplyee or emplyor is that the boss has to do well and make money or he will pack up and go home. Labour policy is only ever (I know these are broad statements) ultimatly for the worker and milk the boss dry, a communist ideal. In Newcastle we can see the results of years of union milking and funny thing the big bosses have packed up and gone home. When I was a kid we had the biggest dockyard and built huge ships, they used to strike every second day. Gone! BHP the same. Gone! along whith many others. There is a place for unions and a need to fight for workers rights but they generly go way too far.

Tony had to keep asking Dillard to answer the questions. Sure she answered some, but ones she didn't like she skirted around and said a lot but answered nothing.

Moving forward? Labor realised they couldn't win with Dudd, Dillard's comment that is was all for the country was bollocks, it's all to do with keeping in office. I was hoping someone might ask her somewhere a question as to why she really booted Dudd and was it not to save her own skin, but alas.

Maybe I'm in the minority. I hope the hell not.

My wife was speaking to someone who participated in this show,what a setup ,they were given the questions three days before the show,the night before the show they were told in which order they would be asked.All carefully stage managed you're right about the ABC very left wing,bit like the Teachers Union My wife has a friend whose husband used to an union delegate for them,she comes to visit, he won't because I sh.. stir him every time especially over a couple of reds gets very heated at times.
Talk about indoctrinating the masses.

I also have seen industries close in Australia and move overseas as unions push and push for more and more until they all lose their jobs.
In the UK, a 60 old year industry at Dagenham where I worked in the early 1990's closed and the factory moved not overseas, but to Wales where labour was 30% cheaper Annual wage negotiations pushed benefits higher and higher until the factory shut. That was a great result for the workers!

The public sector (especially in NSW under Labor for over 12 years) has seen worker benefits improved all right. How about 9 day fortnights, 17% super, huge pay increases...no wonder the state is broke. But with our utilities, that's OK, just put up power prices 30%, that will pay the worker benefits.

22 million people in the this fine country and Julia is the 'best' we can dig up to lead us! It's very sad and embarrasing.
I am always so proud of the charisma of our great leader; when she opens her mouth to give a speech I hang on every word and vowel.
(LIE..., I turn her off, that's the good thing about democracy, we CAN turn them off)

Tony's not much better, but at least his business acumen is OK and he understands that successful businesses generate incomes that pay the taxes that pay for all our services.
No businesses, no public sector. No gravy train for union leaders.

I have a sick feeling about next weekend.

I was impressed with the performance of the PM.

If I was after someone to have a chat to, or pick up after a few beers at the RSL, then yeah, I think she was somewhat charming.

But I actually want someone to lead the country, not flatter me.

I couldnt stand paul keating, but at least he had some guts.
