finishing camphor laurel
I have dried the timber for 12 months and cut log into rounds - sanded to a nice smooth finish , but a green stain in the timber shows thru and spoils the finished effect - how can I get a nice camphor finish to the timber?

Green stain in camphor rounds
Thanks for your interest Wendy - I have dug out some rounds that were cut thinner some months ago and they are fine. It would seem that further drying is in order before I work on these green ones. Dennis

If they're going to be turned on the lathe then turn them now to a rough shape and allow them to dry out for a few months before finishing the turning.
or
Turn them as they are and finish them off they'll be fine.
