Adhesive for attaching skirting
I am replacing skirting to painted plaster walls on a timber stud frame. Floor is solid overlay timber glued to slab. It has been recommended by a mate to simply glue them rather than nail. The skirtings are hardwood and will be painted. The walls are straight (no bows) and most of the skirtings will be short lengths from 800mm to 100mm around 3 doorways so no problems with forcing then into position. Stud adhesive has been suggested as well as liquid nails and some other products. Any recommendations on the best adhesive to use? I don't anticipate ever removing these again.
