    To trace wide oceans o'er,
    True British courage bore him on,
    Till he landed on our shore.
    Then here he raised Old England's flag,
    The standard of the brave;
    With all her faults we love her still,
    "Brittannia rules the wave!"

    I am not sure that every Aussie could put his/her hand on his/her heart and sing that with conviction

    I thought Brittannia waived the rules

    No that was the Yanks when we won the Americas cup back in the 80's, they suddenly changed the rules so they could also fit a winged keel (but still lost )
    Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

    Also interesting is that the most popular choral arrangement of AAF is by an american.

    But remember the words of Bruce.
    This is the wattly, the symbol of our land.
    You can stick it in a bottle, you can hold it in you hand.
    Amen... Crack tubes.

    We lost becuse of dumb ass Conners. The womens team beat him in the pretrials but he demanded that he take over thier boat. The women out sailed him by a good distance. I have met him because I have a sail boat and at one time we belonged to the same yacht club. What a jerk! This Yank is still laughing about it. Glad he lost.
