22 stitches, man those are some boasting rights. Something to intimidate the grandchildren with.
All the best Alan for a speedy recovery.

Hi all, no need to worry, my hands, eyes and feet are intact so no damage to dark side skills. I won't be singing in the shed for a week or 2 so my neighbours have taken up a collection to thank the doctors. Thanks for the concerns and wishes ... a complete recovery is expected soon.

Thanks all, went back to the docs yesterday, he's happy with the result and removed some stitches but put a couple more back in ..... apparently I talk too much and the stitches fatigued (shut up wheelin!)!
I've had a bone and skin graft and, as is the way with such things, it's the graft donor site on the roof of my mouth that is causing the most concern.
The tables are proceeding well but work keeps getting in the road. I've now made 8 curved drawer fronts which replace the 7 I made previously due to a mid-course design change that makes the first 7 too small.
From the 8, I need to get 6 completed drawers so dovetailing starts this weekend and I expect attrition and hope that attrition is 2 or less.
I hope to have them finished by the end of July.
thanks for the concerns, fletty
