Hi Everyone
I am absolutly new to woodworking, but it has always been a wish of mine to learn how to make boxes in my retirement. Well, 2 years later, I found and joined this great woodworking club where I can learn and have use of the tools & machines. It can be a bit confusing sometimes and when all the machines are going it could even be a bit intimidating but steady does it.
Take care
Anne-Marie

Welcome Anne-Marie!
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

Hi everyone
Yes, my home is in Logan City.
I went to the club this morning and had this absolutely fitting dovetail on my box, without any glue whatsoever. Proud as punch!! However, I have learned not to put it tightly together before the groves for the lid and bottom are in place. By pulling it apart I cracked the darned side so spent all morning to make myself a new side.
Cheers
Anne-Marie

Hi Anne Marie, welcome aboard, How about a plug for your club. Which one is it? Quite a few members live around your area and may like to join. I live close by too.
Reality is no background music.

The club is MAD i.e. Make And Do. They have a new RED SHED in Loganholm, 16 Burchil Street (hope this spelling is o.k.) It is in the industrial area. don't know of any phone number as yet.
Opening hours have changed a bit so I'll post that once I have made myself a copy.

Thanks for that Anne -Marie, I am sure there will be some local members who will be interested in that. I will try and drop in myself on the weekend if I get a chance.
