    Default Strange.

Upon picking up my car from the panel beaters yesterday (got tail ended) I was presented with a bouquet of flowers as a gesture of appreciation for my (insurance company's) business. Is it just me or does it seem a little weird getting flowers from a business which is, lets say, all male?

When my wife arrived home from picking up a dress which needed to be altered today I asked, "where's the hammer"? Very disappointed nothing was forthcoming.

You haven't been married very long have you?

What you should have done is pass the flowers to your wife remarking that they cost you and arm and a leg but for her no gift is too expensive.

We used to get a single rose every time the car was serviced at our Toyota dealer.

It is called goodwill and is meant for the lady of the house.

I agree with the others: Slow on the uptake,

With my luck I'd forget about it and find the car full of petals on the Monday

Well, yes, I did blow it. I must say, the flowers were one of those $2 jobs wrapped in brown paper.

Or worse, your wife would find it, then you'd be in it up to your ears.

Hmm! You are very lucky you did not get a hammer delivered in a painful manner.

Take head of all the sages here who seem to have made similar mistakes.
