hello people, I saw on a US web site that sells all types of sandpaper, 2 products called abrasive cords and tapes. it is used to get into the hard and intricate spots of any antique furniture that has an ornate pattern or shape.like the round posts etc, it comes in the round ( much like in the fashion of dental floss for wood ) or flat for tight in between spots that are flat.they come in different grits and widths . I have worn the skin off my fingers by cutting ordinary sandpaper to fit in these spots to clean out any left over old paint and varnish or stains.
they come on rolls and do not cost a lot of money but they charge like a wounded bull for the postage to Australia. does anyone know if we can buy it here in Australia. ??
