G'day all, I am Les Just an old sparkie that loves a bit of wood and of late has used the Forums to research the lathe I have just bought and now closely looking at a BP355 band saw

G'Day Les, welcome to the forums. Plenty of us old sparkies here. Some are just older and have less spark. I think i need a lie down.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

    G'day Les and welcome!
You may be able to answer a question I asked on the forum a year or 2 ago. Is there a supplier of outback timbers in Darwin? I know western Qld has some beautiful hardwoods, I assume they also exist in outback NT.
    Regards
    Billy

    G’day All,
    Thanks for the welcomes
Billy, There were a few mills out bush many years ago now all closed as far as I know but I will ask around as there may be someone that does it as a hobby. There are some nice limbs out there if you can beat the termites to them. Plenty of mahogany gets blown over in town.
    Regards & Cheers,
    Les.
