Floorboard staining
Hi I am about to stain the floorboards (Unforseen change in plans) It seems straight forward enough. Does anyone have any tips, as I don't want to start and find out the hard way that there is a better way

Bear,
I think you'll find that none of the manufacturers of stains or floor finishes recommend the use of stains on flooring. Possibility of unequal fading due to the large areas involved and probably uneven sunlight exposure.

I am about to stain an entire house in black Japan and tung oil. If that is the direction you are heading, I may be able to help. I have been experimenting with different application methods, ratios, turps, etc.
