Has anyone lacquered gidgee succesfuly? I've just made a coffee table from this incredibly dense timber and want to lacquer it but want to be sure the lacquer will adhere. The timber's so hard and smooth it's like glass. If I do lacquer I reckon two or three thin coats will be plenty.
