Default My Local photographs if interested section 2

I Have opened an aditional thread because I felt the number of photographs on the first insertion is now slowing down the loading of this article.

Today I have put in four pictures of Torquay harbour which is now mainly a leisure harbour. The last photo has some engineering interest because the two towers you will see operate a cill which raises a barrier to hold a level of water in the inner harbour which always previously dried out a low tides.

    this spot 30 years ago.

    Default Day 7

Day 7. I have now switched to the western end of the bay to the town of
Brixham. This is a very picturesque type postcard spot which was in the past a major fishing port on the south coast of England. Many of the old fishing cottages have now been converted to commercial outlets. I would estimate (purely guesswork) that there about 20 trawler/fishing boats still operating. In addition the surrounding coastline is equal in beauty to many places in the world.

    Default Day 8

    Day 8

It has now come the time to show the final four pictures, the reason being as I expect some members know, I am getting out the box camera again to replenish my stock of photographs in that wonderful land of Oz.
If any models are viewing this thread I could no doubt use their services to liven up some of my landscape pictures during the forthcoming visit.
I hope you enjoyed the previous entries and perhaps you will let me show further landscapes scenes in the not to distant future.

Pic 3 B/White The River Dart again with some riverside properties.
Pic 4 B/White. A property and location that some people would love or hate.

    Thanks for looking.

    To Guy ,
Thank you for the mail, its a small world when you take a photograph of someones previous residence and then see it displayed 12000 miles away.
The limestone grey property was taken around half a mile from Newbridge on the moors, the road that leads to Spitchwick opposite Holne Chase on the R.Dart.

    Default restaurant

    Yes Guy.
I've also used the parking space opposite when I was younger and doing the walking. The road has not changed in the 34 years I have lived in Devon.
