Making double glazed fixed windows
G'day all
I am intending to make & install five fixed windows around the top of the walls in my workshop to provide lots of natural light. I was thinking of making them double glazed to reduce heat transfer, by cutting a rebate in both sides of the window frames and fixing 3 mm glass in the rebate with silicone. This solution will not be as good as a commercial unit filled with an inert gas, but this will be offset a little if I make the space between the glass say 30 mm.
Can anyone offer advice on what I propose.
Regards
