External architrave flashing?
Hi, I've had the building inspector at my house and he complained about lack of visible flashing around my external architraves to doors and windows.
My carpenter flashed the windows and doors properly on installation, and placed aluminium flashing all around under the weatherboards. Then the architraves went on top to hide it.
Am I missing something?
Are you supposed to flash over the top of the architrave? Surely if you were it would also have to be under the weatherboard too, I've never ever seen this.
Anyone got a drawing or explanation of this??
